THEATRE:
Play, imagination, and all the tools that theatre offers to empty oneself and bring a character to life are limitless and deeply enriching. Theatre invites us to step outside our habitual patterns of thinking and behavior in order to explore new ways of being, feeling, and relating to others. Through acting, improvisation, voice work, movement, and emotional expression, it creates a safe space to discover unknown aspects of ourselves. By embodying different characters, we develop empathy, creativity, and a deeper understanding of the human condition. Its benefits include increased self-confidence and self-esteem, improved verbal and nonverbal communication, strengthened emotional expression, and the development of both stage presence and personal presence.
DMT (Dance Movement Therapy):
Dance Movement Therapy is a tool that helps us move beyond our own personality, quiet the mind, and create space for the body to speak. Based on the connection between body and mind, DMT uses movement as a pathway for exploration, expression, and emotional integration. Rather than focusing on technique or aesthetics, it emphasizes inner experience and the messages that emerge through the body. When we allow movement to arise authentically, emotions, memories, and inner resources that often remain hidden behind verbal language can reveal themselves. Its benefits include greater body awareness, reduced stress and anxiety, improved emotional regulation, strengthened self-esteem, and a deeper connection with oneself and with others.
BUTOH DANCE:
A dance that does not seek perfection, but rather absolute presence. Originating in Japan, Butoh dance emerged as a profound exploration of the body, emotion, and human existence. Instead of pursuing virtuosic movements or aesthetically perfect forms, it invites us to listen to what emerges in each moment, exploring both fragility and strength, light and shadow. The body becomes a territory of transformation where images, sensations, and inner states of great poetic intensity can manifest. Practicing Butoh develops the ability to inhabit the present moment with authenticity, expands physical and emotional sensitivity, fosters creativity, and helps release the need to meet external expectations, encouraging a genuine and deeply personal form of expression.
LATIN DANCES:
Such as merengue, salsa, and bachata, are a celebration of rhythm, connection, and the joy of living. These dances combine music, movement, and human interaction, allowing participants to develop coordination, musicality, and body expression in a dynamic and enjoyable way. Each style carries its own energy and character: merengue brings fluidity and rhythmic simplicity, salsa stimulates agility and improvisation, while bachata invites a more sensitive and expressive connection with both the music and one’s dance partner. Beyond technical learning, Latin dances strengthen self-confidence, encourage social connection, and help release tension through movement. Their benefits include improved physical fitness, coordination, balance, memory, self-esteem, and the ability to fully enjoy the present moment while sharing meaningful experiences with others.
